  1. The Tools directory of the Mastering Visual Basic 5 CD contains a subset of the tools in the Tools directory of the Visual Basic 5.0 CD. While some of these tools are specified and used directly in the labs, others are provided for your convenience. Tools contained herein include:

  3. Cabinets - using in creating setup for Internet download components
  4. LPK_Tool - licensing tools for ActiveX controls
  5. MFC42     - MFC DLLs required for other tools
  6. OleTools - miscellaneous tools for learning about and debugging OLE and ActiveX components.
  7. PSpy     - provides info about processes, threads, windows, and window messages
  8. PView     - info about currently running processes and threads
  9. RegClean - detects and fixes registry errors
  10. RegUtils - utilities for registering components and editing the registry
  11. Spy     - provides detailed information about processes and DLLs
  12. TypeLib     - utilities for creating custom type libraries
  13. VBCP     - Visual Basic Code Profiler
